Yoga is Universal

I will begin with a warm greeting to you

I am happy and humbled to be on the ongoing path to a greater understanding, expansion and satisfaction gained from this ancient beautiful practice .  Being a Teacher has been one of the most revelatory steps to have taken in deepening my understanding of The Self, of Yoga as a healing practice and how I can use it to change the lives of others -  I teach all levels of students, so you do not have to be super flexible, athletic or experienced.  I will join you where you are and offer guidance but this is your journey and we are all students...

Most childhood years have their own stories to tell leading to all kinds of growth patterns leading to behaviours that are not the true essence of our being....The true essence of our being is to be like a child.....Happy and Unconcerned.  Yours might have been the perfect upbringing but there is still always something to learn about yourself.

Our Roots may become stunted and a little compromised because of multiple experiences we may face as we grow up into the knowing and deciding mind, feeling conscious and judgmental of ourselves.   These experiences cause flight or fright syndrome that we navigate through our days affecting work, play, recreation.  Fear, Judgement, Instability, Arrogance become ways to cope, stress becomes normal and forming healthy relationships sometimes become difficult, we attract individuals that trigger our unhealed pains - Sometimes these people can be our greatest teachers!

We must find meaning, harmony and balance in our existence.  Discovering what true happiness feels like and being a healed, whole and all together solid within our self, not needing or seeking it from outside hence we become mislain but from inside so we lead ourselves to where we belong.  Love is something we have to learn about and open up to when we feel safe in ourselves.   Love for life , Love for others, Love for Ourselves and knowing we are all in this together, We are all connected.

When we realize our innate value and not the value accumulated from peers or through accomplishments... The deep unmoving, instilled constant unchanging values that stay.  When we establish this emotional security within ourselves and tap into this peace we can then make better decisions and become fully accountable for ourselves -  We can navigate the storms of life straight into calm waters of happiness and satisfaction in mind, body and soul.  There is a stillness, a calm and a tranquillity that we come to find once again & appreciate that was actually there all along just so out reach because we need to learn how to reconnect with our spirit and with the Source.

Comfort is something you will find no where else but within you however we will be scattered along our journeys tirelessly seeking this soul fulfilling nourishment we call Love in all the wrong places, injuring ourselves becoming somewhat lost and discouraged.  Yoga (Self enquiry) has been a salvation for many as we discover that we have our own edges, our own depths and our very own beauty.  Fear is then something to be observed and not something that determines how we step out in this world and how we interact with others.  Everything we could possibly desire resides deep inside our hearts, we will never be without or ever have to feel alone, not ever!

I work with everyday people -  office workers, runners, busy mothers, cyclists, clients in need of physical rehabilitation, lower back injury sufferers, prenatal students, the elderly, absolutely anyone who with the practice of Yoga would like to enrich their lives beyond the physical aspects but awaken deeper feelings of gratitude, ecstasy and joy for life. The scope of the individual with whom I practice is far and varied - I truly believe that Yoga is for All.

The rewards physically, mentally and emotionally is potently needed most by modern man in this somewhat dizzying space where there is an overload of information on how to be, what to eat and what is the stereotypical ideal of beauty, success, health or happiness? What is it? We are ever searching.... Yoga is where one can and will find a much needed retreat from the monotonous rhetoric and in that place find a peaceful haven within himself.   Everyday residual stresses, pent up inadequacies or imposed unrealistic ideals lose their hold on us and we become our very own personal heroes. When your on the mat we can aspire toward unearthing our very own truths finding much needed restoration from a hurting heart to once again emerge into life with renewed perspective and awareness of our own personal Strength, unique Gifts and a beautiful introduction to the one person we have never ever truly acknowledged. That person is You.
